This house brings comfort and overlook, prospect and refuge. Drawing together environmental resilience, wildfire resistance, and deep connectivity between inside and outside, it acts as sculpture and hearth, object and experience.

Tramonto integrates the natural beauty of an adjacent state park, the surrounding Santa Monica Mountains, and the California coastline meeting the Pacific Ocean.

Perched on a hillside overlooking the rolling California landscape, Hollister Ranch is a study in rustic materiality and the power of simple forms, carefully organized. The corrugated steel exterior brings a rich visual texture to the project while expanses of glass invite nature in.
